The Housing Office is accepting requests for housing in the Fermilab Village through October 1st, 2026. Housing is available for users, affiliates and HR-approved interns. Visit the Campus Access webpage for more information about access types.
The Fermilab Village is on-site. Site access approval is required for the entirety of a stay in Fermilab housing and must be approved at least two weeks before arrival.
To apply for housing, fill out the appropriate Housing Request Form below.
Your housing request may require additional approval. Requests requiring additional approvals would include:
- Use of a Fermi/DOE funded travel code (including 17 codes)
- An invitation to join an existing Group House

Housing Descriptions
Dorms
All Fermilab dorms are private rooms. Dorms have shared bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and living area. Dorm rooms have a bed, dresser, desk and closet. Bedding is provided. There are a very limited number of dorm rooms with an attached private bathroom.
Apartments
There are a limited amount of 2 bedroom apartments available in the Fermilab Village. Apartments are fully furnished and include bedding. Apartments cannot be rented by room, but must be rented as a whole. Please visit the shared living page for more information.
Houses
There are several 3 bedroom houses available in the Fermilab Village. Houses are fully furnished and include bedding. Houses cannot be rented by room, but must be rented as a whole. Please visit the shared living page for more information.
